Ja Rule Halftime Performance

Ja Rule, most commonly known today as being a co-founder of the failed music festival “Fyre Festival,” has recently been mocked over social media for his performance at the Milwaukee Bucks halftime show around two weeks ago. A viral video circling around the internet shows Ja Rule saying “Are we ready?” while speaking to the crowd. The crowd was silent and after waiting a few seconds, he goes on to say “I guess not.” This poor response from the crowd was almost definitely due to the two documentaries that just released about the Fyre Festival, both of which showed Ja Rule and his business partners planning an extravagant music festival in the Bahamas which actually ended up being a scam.

Social media had a lot to say about this performance, and even the Minnesota Timberwolves’ official Twitter account participated.

I personally think outburst over social media was excessive and harsh. Ja Rule did not intentionally mess up the Fyre Festival, and he did all that he could to try and make it work for those attending. I don’t think that a mistake in one aspect of his life should affect a completely different aspect, but clearly vast number of people would disagree. In my opinion, he made a genuine mistake and doesn’t deserve to be trolled all over social media.
